Worcester, MA:  Hampton Properties, LLC closed on the $5 million purchase of the Goddard House and Homestead Hall land and properties. To ensure uninterrupted operations and stability for current residents and employees, Hampton Properties, LLC entered into a lease agreement with Goddard Homestead, Inc. immediately upon closing. Goddard Homestead, Inc. will continue to operate Goddard House and Homestead Hall through the lease agreement as they pursue needed investment for the communities’ building and grounds. This enables Goddard Homestead to address immediate needs for the existing properties while pursuing the development of a new senior living community located at the previous home of Saint Peter-Marian High School.

The sale is a necessary step to generate cash to advance the development of the new senior living community being developed by Goddard Homestead Leadership, Board of Directors, and OnePoint Partners, a Senior Living Advisory firm based in Topsfield, MA. Joan Cusson, long-time Executive Director of Goddard Homestead says, “We appreciate and feel fortunate that Russ Haims with Hampton Properties, LLC was interested in our historic properties. As a non-profit senior living provider, maintaining older, historic buildings is an expensive proposition. This sale allows us to plan for a 2024 demolition of the Saint Peter-Marian High School, and push forward with the development of a new, lower-maintenance community, with the amenities today’s seniors expect and deserve.”

Russ Haims, owner of Hampton Properties, LLC is excited to own the historic properties in Webster Square, and he’s grateful he can help Goddard Homestead in their mission to provide practical senior living solutions for the people of Worcester. “Hampton Properties’ mission is to improve quality of life by revitalizing historic properties, and we care deeply about the people of Worcester,” Haims said. “We plan to quickly address some much-needed structural repairs for the residents, such as fixing the roof to ensure they can live comfortably while Goddard Homestead proceeds with the development of their new community.”
